I read that the uncut version mostly adds more on the monotony of life on board the submarine. It's claustrophobic enough for me. Great film that draws you in, best submarine movie I know. And it puts all those German lessons I had to sit through in high school to some use. |
Even though German is my native language I prefer watching it in English. Its actually one of the best English voice tracks of any foreign movie since most of the actors actually dubbed their own voices.
