That is actually a reasonable idea.
the only problem is Prince of Persia needs a fresh new take on it. It was in decline after the last 2 games failed to make the same impact the trilogy in the previous generation did.
They should try to build a story into PoP that will make you want to play several titles, just like before. It just has to be more engaging to be on the same level as assassins creed.

I think they were considering it, but PoP games don't sell 10m copies each year
I would like to see more PoPs, I haven't actually played the old ones, but I enjoyed the most recent 2 and I am sure with time they can come up with something good
