It's not an opinion if people are already saying they won't pick it up because of what's happening here. Also, I keep hearing that PC gamers "buy less". Any statistics that prove this?

I don't know how good the tracking of sales and especially the tracking of digital sales is but looking at the numbers of this site console-games sell more than pc-games. Yes, there are games like diablo3 which sell a lot but this is a huge peak in a graph.
It is even hard to measure what pc's are gaming pc's. I think we can agree that by far not all pc's are even able to run recent games when considering all pc's still active out there. The pc ppl need to "work" or go browsing with their pc and what a gaming-pc demands grew wider the last years and it will continue the next years. Alsp pc's get outsold by notebooks, notebooks by tablets... the market is shrinking. So the target group is also shrinking.
I don't want to start a war console<->pc this is useless. Everyone should pic his/her fav gaming-system. But numbers don't speak for pc.

Without all the necessary data, it's guessing at best. There's no argument that the console versions will sell more, but a bit besides the point. I mean, really, there are things that are causing people from all three camps not to pick up Dead Space 3, but in the case of the PC, it's all that + being told there will be zero difference to that version and the console versions. No, they don't have to make the game 10x better on PC, that would be a waste, but even a slight incentive can go a long way.
There's no need for them to worry about me, I'm picking it up regardless, I'm just saying the marketing is really not in its favor.

Are ppl really that influenced by marketing? I mean the games itself isn't worse, is it? Somehow I can understand that the pc-ports get even worse but I don't know how to get the situation out of the vicious circle... Perhaps in a few years the topic doesn't exist anymore.
