Should Nintendo buy third party support?

I don't know about the lowering royalties but it makes sense. They're not holding them hostage, so they want them to feel comfortable with the deal so lowering royalties would be one way of coaxing them to do so. But I would say that money up front will make most of those developers do almost anything.
