| RolStoppable said: I see, tbone51 still hasn't posted the full rules. Since this tournament will require people to move from room to room, it would be good, if everyone knew in advance who has to go where after each Grand Prix. Here's the whole thing and I hope tbone51 copy-pastes it into his original post. The rules for a tournament with three brackets The one rule above all is that everyone has to be honest and honorable. If it's time for you to leave a room, then please do so. Don't be a jerk and sabotage the tournament. There will be three rooms prepared for this tournament and most people will have to move to a different room at one point or another. The entire tournament should last somewhere between 60-75 minutes, depending on how smooth the transitions go. The hosts: Each of the three initial brackets (rooms #1, #2, #3) has a host who will start the Grand Prix (standard rules, four races) in time and post the results in this thread afterwards to let everyone know how it ended. In case none of these three hosts will be present in one or both rooms in round 2, it would be much appreciated, if someone else takes over these duties voluntary. The same goes for round 3 and 4. Who goes to the next round? In each round the top 4 of any given room will progress to the next round. Note that in case of a tie in points between two or more players, the game will most likely rank the player who attained the better result in the fourth race higher. While this isn't guaranteed, you better be prepared that the fourth race will have more weight than the others. Round 1: Everyone races in the assigned bracket (rooms #1, #2, #3). The GPs start at the announced time, so make sure to be there. Round 2: Everyone who finished in either 1st or 4th place in round 1 will move into room #1. Everyone who finished in either 2nd or 3rd place in round 1 will move into room #2. The GPs can start as soon as all six players have arrived in the appropriate room. On a sidenote, players who were eliminated in round 1 can use room #3 and/or the practice room to continue playing against VGC members. Round 3: All of the remaining players move into room #1, if they aren't already there. The GP can start as soon as all eight players have arrived. On a sidenote, the four players who were eliminated in round 2 can join the other eliminated players in room #3 and/or the practice room. Round 4: The top 4 of round 3 remain in room #1 and play one final (and less chaotic) Grand Prix to determine the winner of the tournament. Good luck! |
