even if that's true (which I'm not sure...you know you didn't need to use the wheel right??? In fact it was better without it. Once the novelty wore off most people I know preferred just using the tilted wii mote minus the wheel or, better yet, the classic controller)...basically all nintendo need to do is release the wii u mariokart with some kind of add on and it will sell 30+ million (using your logic). I'm sure a company that seems to release a peripheral with every second game they make will have no problem with that.

You could easily see that in the Spain charts for example in the recent years.
Mario Kart Wii at #1 and no other Wii title in the top 10 or top 20, not even NSMBWii. You can't exactly recreate that wheel so games bundled with hardware do obviously better than games without them (even if they aren't necessary).
Pirating is huge all over Europe, so that would be the region with the biggest decrease.
And yes 30m+ is certainly possible if the userbase is ~100m by end of that gen and it comes with a peripheral.
That piece needs to have some appeal though. I don't think a second wheel would do it, as 33m already own one.
