The way things are looking now, I agree. But keep in mind that the 3DS sold poorly after its launch for several months until its price drop, then with a couple of big games for the fall it was pretty much back on track. Nintendo doesn't need to worry so much about Microsoft and Sony's launches being strong; they won't be able to affect the fanfare they will receive. What they need to focus on is making WiiU look like a must have item despite the competition, with great games and a good price.
No doubt Nintendo will absolutely need to bring its "A" game this year as it's of critical importance, but I'm sure they know how bad the sales are this last week. It can still be turned around; it just remains to be seen if they have prepared to do that.
