Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid hold the top spot adjusted for inflation it would have made $548,940,100 it made $102,308,889 in 1969.  In 1969 the average ticket price was $1.42 compared to $7.78 so far this year which is actually down 16 cents from last years average but I'm sure it will go up once more 3D and IMAX movies get released the highest grossing domestic Eastwood western is Unforgiven which made $101,157,447 in 1992 which would be close to $200 million adjusted for inflation.  It also had a very long theater run of 343 days (all the numbers are from box office mojo).
