It's not really going to affect the period around the PS4 and Nextbox launches, but it's hurting their current sales and thus the already low third party confidence. Winning the holiday season 2013 in a big fashion won't mean much, if the pipeline for new game releases in 2014 is dry due to third parties not greenlighting games because of low Wii U sales through 2013 (excluding holidays). |
We have the example of the year DKCR, Epic Yarn, Epic Mickey and MJ the Experienced all launched with short notice (Nov 2010). What do you think that did to 3rd party confidence? I understand that until they're out it hurts, but when they are released, don't they shock more, especially when released in clusters?
