That is true. But 360 got all the 3rd party support and also Gears, which was a huge new IP system seller, in its first year. Wii U most likely won't get nearly as much 3rd party support which is why Nintendo have to do something. Even just a hint at a new Smash Bros or a new 3D Mario or a WiiU pokemon or something might be enough to stimulate sales a bit. |
Gears was out in Nov 2006 though, 360 came out in Nov 2005. Was 3rd party multi-plat support so great for 360 early on? I don't remember it being that way.
