Meh, getting snubbed once by the Acedemy Awards isn't too big of a deal.  My favorite movie music composer of all time Ennio Morricone got snubbed five times before finally getting a honary award in 2007, which is really sad since he won every other major award one can think of before that (Nastro d'Arento, BAFTA, Golden Globe, Grammy etc.).

Wow he did a lot of work, credited for 513 titles on imdb.
He made my short list 3 times with Malena, U-Turn and Cinema paradiso, sadly not in the top 50.
He got 47 awards, I don't think he's too fussed about an Oscar. It would have been nice if he had gotten it for Malena. I guess I snubbed him too for that year's winner, coming up in my top 50, oops.

Well he didn't even get nominated for some of his best work like "The Good, The Bad and the Ugly", "Once Upon a Time in the West" and "Once Upon a Time in America" (that movie missed out on a lot of nominations because it was poorly edited for the US market).
