What kind of marketing would get you to buy Spec Ops: The Line?

Some of the gaming media sold me on the game. It was pretty different than it was advertised. It was solid game that makes you uncomfortable (in a good way) while playing it. Would not have been worth full price but for $6 i paid it was quite good.
