Honestly I think Nintendo may have to bite the bullet and give the Wii U a similar price cut as the 3DS got. I don't believe this is something just showing off a Zelda or Smash Bros. trailer will solve.

New White Model w/Wii Fit U + Balance Board bundled (fitness pak, $299.99)
Ambassador program for early Wii U adopters, free Xenoblade HD, Zelda: Wind Waker HD, Super Mario Galaxy HD,
Mario Kart 64 HD, etc.
With a weakening yen it may not hurt their financials as badly, but they also may balk at basically having another year of losses. Iwata could be in some trouble IMO.
