Of course I'm not denying it. Didn't I already say that? They were considered as toys when Atari was on top, they were considered as toys when Nintendo was on top, they were considered as toys when Sony was on top.

The big difference between the time periods of 70's to 80's and 90's to 00's is that the former had games consoles in livingrooms, and families playing them, while the latter had consoles in kids rooms, and kids playing them.

The DVD-playing functionality of PS2 provided value, as that was a cheap option to have a DVD-player for your kids.
