One would usually consider a remake to actually change things, not just make a copy. Most would probably think of that as a port. Which is why I considered this game a remastering.

Yes, it's a little in the 'grey-zone' really.

You're correct in the notion that one would usually expect added content (significant content at any rate, OoT 3D includes minor added content like a 'Boss fight mode') in something called a 'remake'. OoT 3D doesn't have that, but they still rebuilt the entire game from the ground up so it's not a port either. 'Remastering' may be the best word for it indeed.
