| Scisca said: You are 100% right. I remember seeing it once in a newspaper and never wanting to see it again. It looked so childish. Anyone who thinks this wasn't a problem for Nintendo is just fooling himself. The system shouted out laud that it was for kids. Like I said, I didn't even want to know what games were on this console, so arguing that it had serious games is pointless. I saw it and couldn't care less. I wanted a cool console, not something that would make all my friends laught at me. Remember that at that time teenagers were the biggest market for games. And teenagers didn't appreciate this style, they wouldn't do it today either. If the silver and a black version were marketed as the main ones and the purple one was a limited edition, GCN would sell much more. |
There were more problems with it's design too; even if the cube-shape looked good, along with the top-loading DVD-drive, the shape was impractical. If you had your console in a cabinet under your TV, changing the game disc was uncomfortable. And the controller wires are 50cm too short.
Ei Kiinasti.
Eikä Japanisti.
Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.
Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.
