I think it will definitely happen this year and I will be bold and say within the first half of 2013. Here's why: The big hitters like Halo and COD did not move as many units as I thought it would. There really is only one big game for 360 this year (that I can think of) and its Gears of War. The PS3 has several such as The Last of Us and God of War and a few others that should still move a few units like Beyond: Two Souls, Ni No Kuni, and Tales of Xilia. Lastly, the gap as of now according to the chartz is 1.6 million. PS3 is almost always undertacked on the chartz so it will probably get a good 300-500k boost, especially since reports are that 77 mill units have been shipped.
