PSP is over 75 million, so you'd expect the Vita to at least get near half that. Can't really say for certain until we see how it sells are the intial price drop (which I'm assuming comes in the next 5-6 months).

TBH i dont think we should compare psp and the vita, PSP was new, everybody liked it (especially wen i was in highschool) listening music, etc . Now Vita is very well made, no cutting corners around that, but wit a mixture of price, Tablets being around, and its game library nothing as good as 3DS's (also japan is worse, Ninty took there best franchise, MH) its nothing special. Even with a price drop to say $199.99? Even cheaper memory, during holidays it couldn't even pass a dying handheld (DS). This year 3DS wins easily, and if you want to talk about 2014 then dont forget SSB4 comes out, and we all kno even non nintendo users come and enjoy this game!

Didn't the DS also outsell the 3DS?

Our argument also had nothing to do with whether or not the 3DS will sell well. He thinks Pokemon will buck a trend and sell unlike it has ever on one of the smallest userbases its ever had.
