The mitigate that, people would ask for new sub-forums to be created and that's a counter to our current focus to make things more streamlined and general. The community just seems to be more alive when you make things more general in nature as it keeps a greater group of people (speaking strictly numbers here) together. Having said that, I also get your point that, given this is a video game based site, the discussion should revolve primarily around that. Now whether discussion should be this restricted this way or not is to be decided by the community as a whole. I don't think the mods alone should just pick one side without opening it up with what the majority of the entire community would like to see. I suppose I'll discuss a means to do this with the rest of the team and we'll see where it goes from there. |
If you look at the current structure under Forum Index, Nintendo Discussion, Sony Discussion, and Microsoft Discussion all fall within Gaming Forum. So by the current struture those sub-forums should be resistricted to gaming. Any subject that isn't Gaming, Sales, or Website focused should, by the current structure, go in the Off-Topic Forum.
