360 launch went just as expected, it was a terrible launch.

PS3 launch did not go as well as expected, it was also a terrible launch. But ps3 numbers should be counted as launch aligned, which for some reason everyone on this site is not doing.

 

To compare Wii U launch to those launches is something which makes me smile. "Look it did better than 360&ps3" is quite amusing as we do know that they had bad launches and managed to turn around, mostly because of the plethora of games those consoles had. Wii U is not going to turn around, I believe that it will follow Wii curve quite closely, except it will be a shorter one. I see the sales landing between GC and N64.
