What is upside down is the fact that if GT 5 was ahead of Halo 4 on those charts it would be 100 percent OK to compare each companies top game. However because it sold a lot more than many thought it turns into 1 game is a shooter and the other is a racer so no way. Now I want everyone to remember what they are saying now because if by some chance GT 5 passes Halo 3 or Halo 4 (if it passes Halo 3) don't start threads about how it outsold Halo games because to a lot of the "just Sony fans" you can't compare the two. I have noticed a lot of people being hypocrites in my short time on this site. A lot of people throw out this term "overtracked" when it goes against their console or game prefrence. Hardley any perspective is used in any arguement and people make these ridiculous pridictions, that when proven wrong, are magically no place to be seen. It seems like there are a group of people who are fan boys, but they just take it to the extremes to the point where it is even enjoyable to discuss certain topics. |
Compare the game to a FPS. You know the only genre Sony hasn't cracked yet to satisfy the west. I mean Uncharted sells on par with Gears of War, so you know it is only truly an issue with FPS. GT can only be compared with Forza. What is it about GT that keeps people loyal to the brand? Answer that question and you will have your answer as to why GT sells so well for the Playstation in its genre and why Halo sells so well for its genre on the 360. That on top of the fact that there are numerous other genres Sony accounts for.
