I'll answer for us educated few.
By interpolating the data on a region by region bases and factoring in the already confirmed price cut the vita will do about four times better than the Wii U in Europe and America. The Wii U will have a less then stellar western holiday for numerous reasons including the launch of other next gen systems. The Wii U will win Japan with a 2 to 1 ratio. This would be worse for Sony's handheld except for the fact PSP developers are finally switching over to Vita. Since both Europe and America are larger markets this averages to just over a 3 to 1 ratio favoring the Vita. It's as easy as math.
