The hand-holding is really terrible, yes. Still, SS is not easier than most other games, in terms of the action etc. FI giving the hint before I had time to figure anything out on my own was horrible, but then again most puzzles are so easy there's not much to figure out anyway.

The problem is that Nintendo thinks Zelda can be for EVERYONE, but it won't ever be. Let's face it, Zelda is for us nerds. My wife and even my mom can play Mario all the time (2D mario, not 3D), they'll never play Zelda. And nothing Nintendo does can change that. Miyamoto was shocked that so many people didnt finish OoT, and since then they've tried to put in hand-holding to make "regular" people finish the game. Not.Gonna.Happen.

So make a Zelda that caters to the fans of action-adventure, don't make it to try to turn the Wii Sports and Mario "casuals" into "hardcore" (hate those terms).

But the artstyle was great. Not as great as Wind Waker, but pretty cool. I really dont get the "realistic graphics" Zelda fans. The cartoon/cel style of WW and SS makes the universe feel familiar to someone who grew up on NES Zeldas or even LttP. It's an adventure game set in a fantasy world. I am actually replaying Wind Waker right now, and this game is now 8 or 9 years old, and it hasnt dated at all, just like LttP. Timeless graphics. Twilight Princess looks godawful today.

But like I said in my previous post, regarding gameplay, if we wont Zelda to be "refreshed", it needs new leadership. Aonuma should go work on Animal Crossing or something.
