The emulators themselves don't use any copywritten material.
I definitely bought xenoblade, Last Story, Skyward Sword, Fragile Dreams which I wouldn't have otherwise boughten because the graphics of the wii are so poor from a technical perspective.
You also know that anyone with half a brain can pirate on wii. So it's not like because of an emulator there's necessarily that much more piracy. However, Since the PC provides a better experience on most games (some games are still bugged), and is a bit easier (don't have to burn disc) it makes more sense for the pirates to pirate on PC instead of wii.
There's nothing wrong with the emulator, just the people that steal while using it. Just like the people that use wii and pirate. There's nothing wrong with the wii. What you're saying is like saying youtube is wrong because so many people use it to view/post copywritten material. When it's the people abusing it that are at fault.
If the wii's graphics weren't so bad technically in the first place, it wouldn't be possible to emulate. And piracy would exist only on console.
