Wifi works just fine, for me. I play Call of Duty online with my Wii U and there's no discernible difference from the 360's online.
Anyway, how do you get a router with no Wifi and only one ethernet cable in this day and age? Even if you're not playing online games, you're missing out on some great online features! Looks like I cannot help you.
