The issue here is not "giving it time." Wiu has all the time it needs (less than 2yrs). The fact is that nintendo only managed to secure two multiplat titles out of 17.
It's all playing into the narrative that nintendo just isn't participating in the actual marketplace. It's alway an attempt to sidestep the competition, except this generation it looks like that will be impossible. Motion controls were a fluke that payed off big time. A dedicated handheld dual screen strategy for a home console, not so much.
When developers shift all of their efforts on PS4/720, it's going to become even more difficult to justify anything wiiu related. What reason would there be? Sales perhaps, but they would have to be monumental.
