Several people have laid out very good explanations for the rationale of a Nintendo gamer. Because Nintendo so typically revamps their series with each iteration (Metroid, Super Metroid, Metroid Prime, Metroid: Other M) we are extremely excited each time a new entry is announced. It isn't "I wonder if they will release game X" it's "I wonder how they're going to utilize the new controller/hardware with game x."

In your original post you said you didn't want to argue, but just to hear people's opinions. We respect yours enough to answer your question honestly and without defense. However, I have yet to hear you concede that anyone's points are valid. All I see you doing is constructing a stronger argument for 3rd parties on other systems and against Nintendo's first party work.

Can you at least acknowledge the validity of the responses you have seen thus far? And as a proud PS1/PS2 owner, you can understand my dismay at not seeing sequels to Jak and Daxter and Shadow of Colossus on the PS3. Sony might take a cue from Nintendo in that department.
