2010, Nov/December sales are in favor of 360 by close to 700k.
2009 - PS3 Slim, PS3 dominance, something like 2 million
2008 - Nov/December sales are in favor of 360 by 1.26 million, quite a dominance
2007 - Nov/December sales are in favor of PS3 by 430k
2006 - From PS3 launch to years end, 360 outsold PS3 by 1.6 million units
Bold mark holidays seasons favoring 360, of the last 7, 360 has been leading 5 times.
It's not a myth, look up facts before making claims like such.
This is why the gap shouldn't widen, if 360 typically outsells PS3 in November/December, the gap should then reduce.

See this is where you fail. I think you are getting you numbers from VGC while shipment figures suggest otherwise. 2006 it was Ps3 in 2 markets lacking it's strongest market compared to 360 in all three markets. 2010 Both MS and Sony shipped the same amount. If they werent selling on par retailers wouldn't accept shipments. But hey, whatever you want to believe. Lets just wait till Feb when shippments are released. Since NPD suggests that that 270k lead could be pretty much 0

shipped =/= sold, We're talking about sales, well at least I am. This is where you fail.
In 2010 MS just released the 360 Slim and has having shortages. Just because PS3 shipped as many units as 360, doesn't mean the demand was equal.
So, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2011, and so far 2012, 360 sales tend to be noticably higher in the fall. 2009 was the year of the PS3 Slim, and 2007 makred the first PS3 price cut.

No, of course sales doesn't equal sold. Not at all... Ps3 has millions of units on shelves and retailers keep taking more.
Anyway, the ridiculous part in your post is including 2006. Yeah, Wii U also beats next box and Ps4. Wii U always sells better than those two in 4th quarter. YUP! You heard it here folks. Also ps3 and 360 sold the same in 2010... as per shipments showed.
And you include 2012 yet VGC isn't supported by NPD or shipments.
