In addition, too, the PS3 isn't going to last forever, and nobody in Japan is going to want to bother with MS's hardware. If anything, I wonder if PS4 will even have a chance in Japan by the time Nintendo captures much of the audience.
Still, their opening week in Japan is VERY reassuring that we'll see the likes of FINAL FANTASY, RESIDENT EVIL, METAL GEAR SOLID, KINGDOM HEARTS, and other franchises in the near future (I'm excluding REVERGENACE because the folks behind it said they wanted to do something unique with MGS for WiiU... whatever that is.)
