Why is this being used as an excuse?  When do you think Aliens CM started?  Or the existing ports, CoD, Darksiders, Batman, ME3, ACIII etc...

Because it takes a lot of financial and human resources to port a game. Just because a few were able to do it so late, doesn't mean others can.
