Why do we need another sequel to a game which has never been on a Nintendo console? I thought about signing the petition but then I changed my mind. First of all I highly doubt this will change anything but more importantly I am sure this game will not sell on the Wii U. So I guess the developers know what they're doing.

If you played the first Dark Souls get the sequel on your PS360/PC.

I'd personally rather have some exclusives coming to Wii U which really make use of the Gamepad other than just putting an inventory on there (which IMO definitely is no USP for the Wii U version).

Agreed.

At this point of the wii u's life - i believe the only way 3rd parties can get some success on the wii u is making exclusives. They should try to appeal to the nintendo crowd and not to the ps3/360 base because they are not gonna buy a wii u port if they already can get the 360/ps3 version.

There is NO reason that a game that is literally going to every available system should skip over the Wii U. There is no excuse of "graphical inadequacy" anymore. If a developer isn't going to be bothered to make exclusives, they should be porting the same games to Wii U, don't tell me it takes that much more effort. Didn't somebody say that Darksiders took literally two weeks by a small team to port over? And that was still an average-crappy port, too.

If there really would be no reason, the game would have been announced for and heading to Wii U right now.

If you consider the different hardware setup (which may very well pose a technical limitation for (some) ports), the small installed hardware base, the rather bad sales record of similar third party ports on Wii (U) in the past and the fact that the prequel has not been on a Nintendo platform I think you have some very good reasons not to port this game.

Nintendo had a platform which received most of the multiplatform games. It was called Gamecube and I think it would be wise not to repeat this strategy. Nobody needs three consoles offering the exact same games (with some minor differences). What we need is Wii U to offer something unique by delivering games dedicated to the console. Like Zombii U for example...
