Come on...you can't say the Wii wasn't successful. They need to stick with that crowd because it works. They added about 50 million casuals to the industry. The chances of those people sticking now is slim.

Following what lead? The move was in the making since what? 2004? Sony knew motion gaming was going to become a trend since the PS2 came out. You believe everything the media tells you don't you? Nintendo might not be the underdog anymore (when Sony had them in a vice grip), but they are definitely the outisder who just joined the core party. Again....when Nintendo has done this they've always lost the battle.

 

Umm...Nintendo was "core" before that silly term was made up. Nintendo lost badly to Sony because Sony catered to the mainstream with systems that were also a CD player and a DVD player while Nintendo was strictly a games system. The SNES was the last market leader based solely on games. Since then the PS1, PS2 and wii have grown the market and won the generation using style or features that the mainstream either thought was cool or at least made them "not embarassed" to have a game system in their living room as an adult.
