If the highest selling 3rd party games cant sell on the system, why should a developer port to sell 15 to 20k copies. not exactly what i meant. what i meant is that this game is small potatoes in the grand scheme of things. despite how good the game is really only us forum dwellers are aware of it. it'd wager 99% percent of consumers fall into two buckets: have a ps360 or don't know dark souls exists. i don't see any reason why darksouls II couldn't come to wiiU but when you match small userbase with a game with limited appeal it would be pretty set up for failure. fromsoftware is pretty small and probably just aren't staffed to support everything all at once.
also, i'm getting pretty annoyed by some of the ideas why people think this needs to go to wiiU. inventory management??! pause buttons??! fuck you all! you really don't get the game at all if you are making those requests. those are as bad of ideas as putting a pause button into ZombieU. it negates the whole point of the game. it is suppose to be unforgiving. you are suppose not not be able to change your inventory mid battle with ease...you're suppose to head into battle with limited resources and have to make the best of it if you were wrong going in or just die. then after you die, you learn and reapproach it the next time wiser for the wear. the game is dead easy once you learn what gear to use when. the exploring/learning process is the entire fun of the game. don't break that damnit!!
