Well you say it yourself at the moment wii u is getting off the ground and as it becomes established things will likely improve. For this there are proven cases of games known to be on there despite not being announced. I have no idea why but nintendo is not letting third parties announce their games as they are ready. That is enough proof to say that people are jumping the gun. Most of these games have been in development long before they received wii u dev kits so it makes sense they would miss wii u.
For the sales argument you can argue it is bad but they keep putting call of duty on there.
