$85 seems like a bargain honestly, aren't new xbox 360 wireless controllers $60 (maybe they used to be) even if they are $50, that's only $35 more to add a beautiful touchreen in the middle. btw I do not think they will even be that cheap if they do sell the gamepads by themselves at some point.

Yes, but those controllers cost about half that or even less to make. Controllers and accessories are very high margin items for publishers and retailers.

I'm not sure what your point is, regardless of how much they cost to make, if the gamepad cost consumers $85, thats relatively a better deal than $60 for a 360 controller.

I think he means that an Xbox 360 controller cost 35 dollars to make and is sold for 60, so if the GamePad cost 85 to make, it would be sold for like 145.71 US.

Just saying that $85 seems like a bargain, but it would not be sold at that price point. Since it generally is a high margin item, the price will be jacked up.
