I have also seen Kaepernick struggle twice against the Rams. Games that I'm pretty sure that Smith would've won. I repeat that if Kaepernick doesn't at least take the 49ers to the Super Bowl this season, it's the wrong move. I think that you are supporting the move because it makes it more likely for the Packers to knock them off in the playoffs. What happened last time Alex Smith played against the Packers? |
Fair enough; I personally wouldn't set as my sole yardstick a metric that indicates Tim Tebow is a better quarterback than all the quarterbacks whose teams either lost in the first round or failed to make the 2011 playoffs, but that's your perogative. In the meantime, I'll stick to what I actually said: Smith's not an amazing quarterback, and while I'm not sure Kapernick is better I can understand wanting something better.
