Would I "support" it? PFFFFT!
I would spend the remainder of my spare time standing outside of the cinema shouting, "Don't watch this movie! Save your hard-earned money for something that's actually useful and rewarding! Don't be foolish, people!"
Seriously though, I think it would be better suited as a series. A movie spanning no more than three hours would result in a severely compressed story. I'm not saying it should be like one of those god damn never-ending series (such as Stargate and Lost) though, about eight to twelve episodes should be enough.
I would definitely support that.
