It was that same epic feeling and with all the different races in Skyrim and their interactions being much like those of the races in LOTR even that seems like an easy adaptation for someone who's done LOTR. Dont confuse lots of lore with depth. Most of the lore in these games is increbily shallow. The stories and lore are very weak, which is why dungeons and dragons comes to mind when I think of Elder Scrolls. Dont get me wrong, I think they are great games, but I dont see any merit at all in translating this franchise to movies.
