I don't think that many of the Vita sales were gifts, especially for younger kids, or anything like that.
I think it was just 18-26 year olds that have wanted one for awhile and were just patient for a good deal to come along. If that IS the case, then not many people have wanted one for a while.
I predict Vita sales drop for the rest of the year, won't be this high again even near Christmas.
3DS on the other hand has the potential for spikes.
Vita needs Monster Hunter.
