Entertainment Weekly has a poll of the game of the decade. Results will be revealed in the VGA's.

Choices are

Legend of Zelda: Windwaker
Half-Life 2
World of Warcraft
Shadow of Colossus
Wii Sports
Bioshock
Portal
Mass Effect 2
Red Dead Redemption
Batman: Arkham City

My vote goes to Bioshock. What would you guys pick.

Obviously it will be impossible to satisfy everyone when the game of the decade poll is narrowed down to 10 games. Entertainment Weekly claims it focused on the impact of the games, but I would argue that if that were true, Portal, Red Dead Redemption, and Batman: Arkham City have no place in this list.

All games are pretty good choices, even if I don't personally enjoy some of them. But there are a few very notable games out there. Either Mario Galaxy 1 or 2, Uncharted 2 or Resident Evil 4, and either Morrowind or Oblivion should replace Portal, RDR, and Batman imo.

Mario Galaxy 1 or 2 because they are the most critically acclaimed games of this generation.
Resident Evil 4 gave rise to the popular third person shooter perspective.
Uncharted 2 because it perfected the cinematic experience.
Morrowind and Oblivion paved the way for sandbox games that didn't have to involve being a street thug.

I'm assuming GTA III and Halo CE didn't make the list because they came out 11 years ago, because if not those should certainly be on the list if impact on the industry is a focus.

I would have also liked Metroid Prime to make the list but it wasn't really influential at, so I could understand why they didn't list it.
