A little more weight than it needed to be, I agree. Somewhere around 150g maybe would be the ideal weight for it.

But close that little stand and it's not ugly. It's well, standard - what would be pretty? And it doesn't affect anything in usability, that's a plus.

Given that both the console and the gamepad feature rounded edges, they could have made it more rounded.

That would made it more... integrated with the pad, like a natural extension instead of a bulky "thing".
