I am going to go out on a limb and assume you got this game pre-owned from GameStop ... that ugly sticker on disc is their calling card (and I don't understand why it is slapped on perfectly good PS3 and 360 discs. Maybe it is something to do with scanning individual discs at refurbishment centers for inventory purposes).

Anyways, go back to that GameStop and ask the guy behind the counter if they have any more copies of Twisted Metal pre-owned (they most likely will have 4-5) and have him give you a couple of the limited edition codes in the game cases (or go to their pre-owned PS3 wall and grab a copy and ask if you can take a code). Chances are that one of those codes will work.

GameStop displays games like Twisted Metal "as is" when they are traded in so even if it says you will get extra content or an online pass you may not receive it. A good employee shuld have warned you that such content was not guaranteed when you purchased the pre-owned copy of the game.

Keep this in mind whenever you buy pre-owned. Pre-owned games are a great way to save money, but keep the digital code/online pass part in mind, and never be afraid to ask the guys there for a code as they most likely have tons of them laying around, and at least one of them should work since there are still plenty of people that simply just pass over the online portion of games.

Also, if you can't get the sticker off the disc, ask them if you can switch the disc out for a non-refurbished one.


I don't have gamestop , its imported, but its no biggie really.

weirdly enough , the online code works.
