The AFC playoff picture is interesting, but I think that all of the teams that you mentioned would just be a sacrificial lamb in the first round.  I will even include the Steelers with Big Ben because they had several issues before he got hurt.  It's pretty clear to me that the only good teams in that conference are leading their divisions.  I'm sorry if this offends some people, but it's true.  As things are now though (without looking at all of the schedules), I would probably pick the Colts and the Bengals to be the Wildcard teams.

I agree with everything you said, right down to the "without looking at all of the schedules" comment, because I haven't checked all of them either. The AFC is really awful this year. The Bengals should win against the Chargers while the Steelers will get another loss handed to them in Baltimore this week.

I'd like to thank the Bears for playing for the Packers this week. Although more importantly, the Packers need to win their own game above everything else. All the playoff contenders in the NFC have their fair share of problems too, but overall they are much more solid teams than their AFC counterparts.

...and if I'm going to predict the NFC Wildcard teams I would have to go with the Bears or Packers (whoever comes in 2nd) and I'll pick the Bucs.  I like the way that team is playing.  Once again, I am not looking at schedules.
