A humorous post.

On topic: Not really. In general, most of the time you are treated like a fanboy or troll, it will be because you are one. If you are facing such situations repeatedly, it would be better to take the time to self-reflect instead of looking for the cause of the problem elsewhere.

Or maybe I should take time to reflect outwardly on the false-accusations that plague the community.

A few examples:

I've been a Nintendo fan all my life, but I regularly find myself having to affirm that taste in front of my online friends.

I made a comment just yesterday on how having a dedicated screen for COD on WiiU is an added value, and I'm scoffed at and told "I'm sure you've never even played COD", or even worse "I bet you don't know what makes local MP fun" (like I'm not even a gamer), just because some know me as a Nintendo fan, and assume Nintendo fans don't play other games than games on a Nintendo console.

It's weak.
