You really don't want to compare attach ratios here. It's not even close. (5.86 for PS3 in Japan and 2.44 for 3DS in Japan)

Edit: Extra, PSP is 3.68 and DS is 5.30. 360 is 7.09. Wii is the only console that has a lower attach ratio than the DS at 5.25.

Attach rate doesn't mean a thing for your argument - using it as a base for weekly sales for a specific software is useless. Think about it. It doesn't matter if one PS3 user on average buys more games than one 3DS user. What matters here is that there are more software sold on portables than consoles - just 3DS beats PS3 + Wii + 360 this year. In other words, portables sell more software than consoles ("portabe ownerS buy more software, console ownerS buy less"), therefore being on PS3 does not give it more chances of selling more. In fact, it gives it less chances of selling more.

But we're talking an overall market or an overall number, we're just comparing the two games. I used a fact, that a console owner tends to more games for their consoles than a portable owner, to support my idea that the PS3 version will outsell the 3DS version.
