I'm sure it will output video at 4k and upscale games, but I don't think any games will be native 4k except simple side scrolling shooters.
I don't really see the point of buying a 4k TV. I can't even tell the difference between 720p and 1080p movies ona 50inch screen. I expect a 50inch 4k would look the same. I suppose if you bought some kind of giant screen you'd need a higher res, but I doubt you'd be able to tell it looks better unless you were sitting to close.
