Again your second sentence doesnt make sense. The impact of the R&D would have shown up in the numbers like it did for sony in 2006 with its disterous PS3 launch, they lost close to $3 Billion (just in the gaming division) in the two year after it was released due to price cuts and saging sales. I dont see a -$2 billion print since the Vita was launched (and it has saging sales BUT no price cut, thats the difference). And we are not talking about the PS4, just the Vita and Wii U, try to confine it to those two things. Nintendo mentioned they are selling the console at a loss but 1 software sale will make the transaction profitable, while I take Reggies comments at face value, some clearer numbers would be better. |
The R%D probably showed up; just not in negative figures. It could simply have meant that they didn't post more earnings that they could have. If you get what I'm getting at? I think Wii U will prove to be a better investment than Vita was.
I'm on Twitter @DanneSandin!
Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.
