This is a really great platform and the development is just like with Android using Mono and C#. Since it already has a large install base with Xperia phones, Sony Tablets, and PS Vita (soon to add HTC and Wiki Pad) it is a great place to publish your content. The entry price is great, only $99 a year when you publish and how ever many titles you want.

Consumer wise it is tied to your SEN/PSN account. Controls are touch by default but with Xperia Play and PS Vita, physical controls can be mapped. The platform is open to non gaming aps as well, making the Vita an even greater device. They have a staff curating content to keep shovelware to a minimum and to provide support for some quality assurance other platforms are lacking.

I can't wait for this to hit its stride.

The second I saw this I texted a buddy of mine whos good with coding in C#. We both went to school together studying Digital Entertainment and Game Design. We were/are the top of our class, which isn't really saying much cuz the school was a joke but we can work our way around making a game. We've done a couple of small ones already but purely for projects. I was known for best designs and organizing work dynamics for any of our groups. I am also a master of conceptual/graphic design so time to put that back into use.

I am wondering if these games are limited to Mini status on the playstation formats? Or can I make just a digital downloadable title as well. I do not like the fact Minis lack trophies and neither do most consumers which is severely limiting their fanbase.

I'm guessing minis will be discontinued, as PS4 will probably just have PSM. I even heard PS3 might get it...but not sure if that's true. I don't know of any size limitation on PSM games/apps but when you make these they aren't in line with other digital titles like you'd see on the PS Store. On Vita PSM has its own tab just like Games and Video does. Haven't you check it out yet? It has about 30 titles right now.

Oh and trophy support is on the table for PSM in the future.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
