It does have some online functionality, though just no online play. Not every game needs online play; it's not even too much to say it should have no multiplayer at all.

A game like this exists to make for some sort of coop/online functionality in the future. It has a king (master) of zombies mode where you lead hordes of zombies and your friend blows them up.
