Some USB controllers are different but usually not in that regards. Though there is one USB controller, I forget who provides it, that intentionally reduces the available power draw by design but it's rarely used. The power light on the unit will tell you if you're getting enough power. If not, most electronics stores sell them pretty cheap. |
Yeah I was looking for some Y cables in case my HDD doesn't work, it looks like they are only like $6 so it won't be a problem.
